Warren Offense Shines in First Win of Season over Girard

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Warren scored 36 points in the second quarter on the way to picking up its first win of the season, 50-28 over Girard.

Eric Dippold connected with Cayden Wright on three touchdown passes and Tommy Nyquist scored three touchdowns in three different ways on a punt block return, hook and ladder, and run.

With work still being done at War Memorial Field, the Dragons made the short trip to play at Mike Shine Field and put on a show for the home crowd.

Wright and Dippold’s scoring plays consisted of 13, 40, and 69 yards. Nyquist, meanwhile, had a 19-yard punt return, took the ball 45 yards on the hook and ladder, and scored on a 10-yard run.

Ethan Senz also scored on a 10-yard run for the Dragons.

Dippold finished with 213 yards through the air, 150 of which went to Wright, while Senz had 135 yards rushing and Nyquist 66.

Gabe Messmer threw a pair of touchdowns to Jeremiah Colon and Stephen Foster, while Foster also added a rushing touchdown. Messmer finished with 109 yards through the air.
