JAMESTOWN, N.Y. – Warren Area High School defeated Southwestern Central School 54-47 in a recent Media One High School Bowl match at SUNY Jamestown Community College.
In another match, Chautauqua Lake Central School topped Gowanda Central School 78-29.
Warren and Chautauqua Lake improved to 4-1 while Southwestern and Gowanda were eliminated from the competition with their second losses.
Earning Player of the Match honors were Lydia Balas and Hailey Brush of Warren, and Jonah Reyda and Dayne Jantzi of Chautauqua Lake.
Warren was represented by Balas, Brush, Kaden Kelly-Pojar, Ashley Plank, Ruby Alburger, and Jadzia Johnson.
Southwestern’s team was made up of Sam Mincarelli, Brayden Haaksma, Matthew Lefler, Nolan Lefler, Cooper Degnan, Philipp Meyer, Rachel LeRoy, and Sterling Wynham.
Reyda, Jantzi, Lydia Kushmaul, Lincoln Smith, and Nathan Henry competed for Chautauqua Lake.
Gowanda’s team members were Logan Forthman, Sam Latimore, and Ben Latimore.
