Warren County Sports Hall of Fame Releases 2021 Ballot

WARREN, Pa. – The Warren County Sports Hall of Fame (WCSHOF) is looking for something they have not done in 11 years- voting members for the upcoming WCSHOF class of 2021.

Anybody can join. All it takes is a $10 membership fee and you will be able to vote on the upcoming Warren County Sports Hall of Fame induction class.

“Our membership drive starts today and will go on until Friday, Sept. 24,” said WCSHOF President Nate Sandberg. “We have a good problem amongst us- since there has not been an induction class in 11 years, our ballot is loaded. This year’s ballot covers every high school in the county and includes sports such as golf, baseball, basketball, football, bowling, trap shooting, track, and cross country.

“Unfortunately, there are a lot of deserving nominees that will not be inducted as we are going back to the very first induction class numbers from 1993 – eight living nominees, two deceased nominees and one organization will be inducted. I want to sincerely congratulate not only the nominees to have made the ballot, but also the ones that did not make the ballot. To even be considered for the WCSHOF is an accomplishment in itself; it shows that other people noticed your successes and want you to be recognized.”

The Cornerstone Lounge and Family Restaurant is the organization that will be inducted into the Hall of Fame this year.

WCSHOF Board Member Dan Pellegrino reflected on this year’s ballot: “This is an extremely solid list of nominees. Everyone is deserving. Each nominee excelled in every sport they played, and I am looking forward to seeing who will be inducted.”

For anyone interested in becoming a voting member the WCSHOF, please either fill out the form provided, visit the ‘Warren County Sports Hall of Fame’ Facebook page, or contact Nate Sandberg at: natesandy31@gmail.com.
