Trail of History: Warren County Historical Society Offering Fun, Informative Summer Event

June 6, 2021

WARREN, Pa. – If you’re looking to do something fun this summer while learning about some of the fascinating history of Warren County, then the Warren County Historical Society has you covered.

The Trail of History Challenge is a family-friendly, summer-long event where participants follow the clues to 12 different historic locations throughout Warren County.

“Due to COVID, we were unable to sponsor a lot of the events we do throughout the year,” said Warren County Historical Society Managing Director Michelle Gray. “We put our thoughts together and took this format from our history camp (for kids). Through that, the Trail of History Challenge was born.”

The cost is $10 and includes clues and instructions, as well as a decal and a mug provided by Whirley-DrinkWorks!

“You take the package you get and at each site, there is a clue,” Gray said. “You put your answer in and all answer sheets are due back by Sept. 10 (Friday, 4 p.m.). If your sheet has all the correct answers, you are entered into a raffle.”

Included in the raffle will be a Warren County-themed prize basket, sponsored by Whirley-DrinkWorks! and the Warren County Visitors Bureau.

“This is a good way for people to get out and get moving around this summer,” Gray said. “People are participating with their spouses, friends, etc. It will get them out to some historic sites in Warren County, and Warren County has some fabulous history.”

Interested parties can register at the Warren County Historical Society (210 4th Avenue, Warren) which is open Monday through Friday, 8:30-4:30 p.m. For more information, call (814) 723-1795 or visit www.warrenhistory.org.
