High percentage serving and solid passing are often keys to a winning formula, and the Wolverines excelled at both against the Damsels. Sheffield served at 95 percent, and passed at 77 percent in a 25-12, 25-23 and 25-16 victory.

“The team, overall, only had four missed serves today,” Sheffield coach Melissa Lemay said. “Solid serving and passing is what it takes to win games, and the girls did both today.”

Emily Leichtenberger led the way from the service line, with runs of six and seven straight points in the first set, and eight straight in the third.
