The boys 3200 relay team of Marc Lewis, Alex Eaton, Chase Kyler, and Dylan Hardwick took first place with a district-qualifying time of 9:18.80.

“They were running such a great race, our lead just kept getting bigger and bigger,” Sheffield coach Jason Snell said. “They finished with almost a whole lap lead. I am excited to see what happens when they get a good weather day and some fierce competition, what number they can pull off!”

The 400 relay team of Alex Marfink, Hardwick, Isaac Hammerbeck, and Colby Barr also finished first. Other firsts include Eaton (1600), Austin Fiscus (200), Aamond Bowman (long jump), Landon Snell (discus), and a three-way tie n the high jump between Zachary Barnes, Christopher Joblon, and Hayden Holden.

“Aamond is a first-year jumper and his PR keeps going up over a foot every meet,” Jason Snell said. “It’s been pretty exciting so far and he is really close to districts. He will probably peak soon, but it’s been fun watching him as a beginner get better and better by the day!”

The girls’ 400 relay team of Raelyn Wightman, Madison Snell, Katie Finch, and Emma Roell took first as well. That was one of three first-place finishes for Roell who also won the 100 and discus.

Sarah Hoffman was also a dual winner in the 100 and 300 hurdles. The Wolverines swept the high jump with Emily Foster first, Chloe Robinson second, and Olivia Romanosky third.

“It was a great night on the road for both the boys and the girls,” Snell said. “Lots of personal bests! Some underclassmen have stepped up into some big roles and have been prevailing greatly!”

Sheffield next heads to Union City on Monday, April 22.
