Sheffield Boys Split, Girls Swept in Tri-Meet at Coudy

COUDERSPORT, Pa. – The Sheffield boys split with Coudersport and Cameron County, while the Lady Wolverines were swept in Coudersport Tuesday.

The Wolverines (4-1) defeated the Red Raiders, 125-9, and fell to the Falcons, 93-53. Cameron County topped Sheffield’s girls (1-4), 80-59, while Coudersport won 106-39.

Lucas McNeal was a quad winner as he swept the jumping events and anchored the 4×100 relay team. McNeal cleared 5’8″ in the high jump, flew 17’10” in the long jump, and soared 36’8″ in the triple jump. McNeal was joined on the relay by Isaiah Townsend, Landon Mead, and Leihden Wotorson. They won in a district-qualifying time of 47.10s.

Gage Mott-Macalush won the 110 hurdles (19.40s), Dylan Hardwick won the 300 hurdles (49.7s) and Townsend won the 400 (46.7s).

Emily Foster took first in the girls’ high jump (5’0″), and Lilly Benton won the 300 hurdles (1:03.20).

Many of the Wolverine Boys and girls teams will be attending the Fort LeBoeuf Invitational on Saturday at Fort LeBoeuf High School.

Sheffield will head to Ulysses on Tuesday, April 12, for a tri-meet with Oswayo Valley and Northern Potter at Northern Potter High School.
