WARREN, Pa. – The HEROES group Sensory Friendly Easter Egg Hunt will be held on Sunday (April 10) at the Lacy Park Multi-Sensory Playground.
There will be three egg hunts, with the first at 11:30 a.m., the second at 12 p.m. and the third at 12:30 p.m. Hunts 1 and 2 are pre-registration only and are for children with disabilities.
HEROES is a support group for parents of children with disabilities.
Hunt 3 will be sensory-friendly and inclusive with no pre-registration required.
There will be a ‘quiet’ section for individuals who may become overwhelmed with the noise of a celebration, as well as earplugs and other sensory-friendly activities available for all.
The first two hunts will have eggs hidden in accessible places and will include magnetic eggs on the basketball court that is wheelchair friendly.
There will also be gluten-free and sugar/dye-free options, as well as other small toys and prizes available.
