Andy CloseIt is with great sadness that the family announces that Robert C. Sorensen, 67, of Warren, Pa., passed away unexpectedly at his home on Dec. 14, 2021.
Robert was born in Warren on July 1, 1954, the son of Charles and Joan Holmberg Sorensen Dickinson, and Curtis Sorensen. He was a 1972 graduate of Falconer High School where he excelled at wrestling and became a State Contender. He worked for United Refining Company in various capacities and retired from the lab after 35 years of service. Robert enjoyed art, painting, repairing, and building things and he enjoyed his Harley.
Robert was committed to family, making sure that all knew of his support to achieve their highest potential. Robert and Susan had a collaborative and caring relationship. It was based on mutual support and a deep love for each other. Bob loved his wife, family, and especially his grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, Robert is survived by his wife, Susan Dickinson Sorensen, whom he married on Dec. 11, 1971, in Falconer, N.Y.; two children: Jennifer Ann (Jake) Rogers of North Carolina, and James (Brandy) Sorensen of Warren; four siblings: Sharon (Ron) Sudano of Ellwood City, Pa., Susan Jerman of Zelinopole, Pa., Scott (Ianne) Dickinson of Kansas, and Sandra Long of Virginia; eight grandchildren: Dylan, Samuel, Lucas and Elaina Sorensen, Jacob and Madison Rogers, and Amaya and Preston Brewer. He is further survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
