WARREN, Pa. – Post 135 Senior Legion built a 7-0 lead after three innings en route to a 13-5 win over Millcreek.
Matt DeSimone led Post, which also scored five runs in the sixth inning, going 2-for-3 with a triple and four RBIs. DeSimone was one of three Post 135 players with multiple RBIs, as Konnor Hoffman drove in a pair and Brady Berdine went 2-for-3 with two runs and two RBIs.
Hoffman went four innings on the mound to get the win, allowing two runs on two hits, walking one, and striking out five.
Aidan Zdarko, James Johnson, and JT Blum each pitched an inning of relief.
CJ Wyman also had multiple hits for Post, going 2-for-3 with two runs scored. Johnson, Keegan Mesel and Ethan Senz all had one RBI each.
Post 135 collected nine hits in total, also taking advantage of seven free passes issued by Millcreek pitching.
