WARREN, Pa. – A 15-run second inning propelled Bradford to a 20-2, 3-inning win over Warren in their District 10 Boys’ Majors Tournament opening round game at Betts-Jackson Field Friday.
Warren, playing as the visiting team, had just cut the lead to 5-2 in the top of the inning thanks to a Charlie Blum leadoff triple and Aaron Shene’s 2-run, inside-the-park home run.
Bradford got its bats going in the bottom of the inning with 15 runs on 10 hits to put the game away.
Bradford will play Smethport in the championship quarterfinals on Sunday in Bradford.
Warren will play either Punxsutawney or DuBois in the consolation first round on Tuesday at a location TBD.
