MEADVILLE, Pa. – Savannah O’Hara’s shot at the buzzer broke a 38-all tie and lifted No. 2 Maplewood to a 40-38 win over No. 7 Eisenhower.
The Region 3 champion Tigers trailed 26-21 in the third quarter but went on a 7-0 run to take a 28-26 lead going into the fourth.
Samantha Childs came up big for Eisenhower in the fourth quarter, scoring all six of her points, while Lainey Belcher also hit a shot and Clara Steinberg was 3-of-4 from the charity stripe.
O’Hara scored six of her 10 points in the fourth quarter for Maplewood, including the game-winner.
Maggie Means also had a pair of buckets in the fourth quarter for Maplewood and finished with a game-high 13 points, while Rhaelynn Koelle had nine points.
Steinberg had a game-high 18 points for Eisenhower, while Belcher and Laney Font added five each.
