Jamestown Man Waives Preliminary Hearing in Vehicle Thefts Case

WARREN, Pa. – A Jamestown man facing 11 felony charges related to the theft of three different vehicles in the Warren Area waived his preliminary hearing on Wednesday.

Grant Monroe, 46, faces charges stemming from a string of vehicle thefts on the night of Aug. 15 and into the morning on Aug. 16.

According to the affidavit of probable cause, Monroe allegedly stole three different vehicles in both Jamestown and the City of Warren.

Monroe is facing three counts each of felony receiving stolen property, felony DUI: highest rate of alcohol BAC of .16+ (4th offense), and felony DUI: general impairment (1st offense), along with two counts of felony theft of a motor vehicle and a pair of summary traffic violations.

His formal arraignment is scheduled for Sept. 14 at 9:30 a.m. at the Warren County Courthouse with Judge Gregory Hammond presiding.
