Five Junior Bowlers Headed to USBC State Championship

YOUNGSVILLE, Pa. – Five Valley Bowling Center junior bowlers are set to compete at the USBC State Championship at Trindle Lanes in Mechanicsburg on Saturday, May 11.

All five qualified for the tournament at the district championships in March, where they also earned scholarships for their effort.

In the boys A Division – Steven Rex (8th grade at YMHS) placed 4th out of 21 bowlers

In the boys B Division – Tydus Chase (10th grade at YMHS) placed 1st out of 22 bowlers

In the girls B Division – Ella Card (11th grade at WAHS) placed 3rd out of 14 bowlers

In the girls C Division – Alivia Peate (K at YES) placed 1st out of 14 bowlers

In the girls C Division – Kaylee Allen ( 7th grade at Beaty) placed 2nd out of 14 bowlers

“We are so proud of these young bowlers,” VBC’s Kellie Johnson said. “They work from October through March to improve their skills and learn more about the game every time they step up to the lanes. They each deserve to be in the state competition and we are so excited to watch them compete.”
