James Suppa

James F. Suppa, a resident of the Rouse Home, passed away on December 13, 2020 after a brave battle with COVID-19.

He was born in Warren, PA on May 12, 1930, the son of James Suppa and Joan Rensma Suppa. A lifelong resident of Warren, he graduated from Warren High School in 1948 and married Patricia Suppa on May 9, 1953.

He served in the United States Air Force from 1950 to 1954. James was employed at the former National Forge Company for 33 years as a cost estimator. He loved travel, the Pittsburgh Pirates, and spending winters with Patty on Hutchinson Island, Florida.

Surviving him are his two daughters, Terri Whitehead and husband Randy, and Carrie Corbran and husband Jon, all of Warren. He was a beloved Boppa to his grandchildren Carly Scatton and husband Eric of Doylestown, PA, Amy Peters and husband Chris of Fredonia, NY, Joshua Corbran and wife Alli of Pittsburgh, PA, Eric Whitehead of San Francisco, CA, great-grandson Kai Peters and great-granddaughter Eva Scatton. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his wife Patricia on April 20, 2020, his parents, his brother Richard Suppa and his wife Durelle as well as his brother-in-law Wayne Hamm and his wife Sandra.

A private celebration of the lives of James and his wife Patricia will be planned for a later date. Following his cremation, he will be buried at the Warren County Memorial Park. Donations in his memory may be made to Warren Public Library or St. John’s Lutheran Church.
