Hunt, Eisenhower Hold Off Rocky Grove for First Win

SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Kael Hunt induced a groundout to end the game, leaving the tying and winning runs stranded in scoring position as Eisenhower picked up its first win of the season, 5-4 over Rocky Grove.

Hunt went the distance, allowing three earned runs on seven hits, striking out five and walking four.

Eisenhower took the lead for good, 3-2 on Derek Childs’ RBI single in the fifth inning.

Cole Kellogg, Hunt, Caleb Jakubczak, and Aaden Nichols all drove in one run for the Knights. Jakubczak had a pair of hits.

Tyler Hamilton drove in two runs for Rocky Grove.

Eli Wilson took the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) in 4 ⅓ innings, striking out seven and allowing four hits and five walks.
