Forest Area Girls Edgee Rocky Grove; Youngsville Falls in Overtime

TIONESTA, Pa. – Putting three players in double digits, Forest Area overcame foul trouble to beat visiting Rocky Grove, 48-41.

The Fires (7-6) played the final 3 ½ minutes without their two leading scorers – Amber Guzzi and Kaylie Rooke – who both fouled out.

But Guzzi had 17 points and five rebounds before having to take a seat on the bench to lead the way in the victory.

Jayden Colvin added 15 points and four steals for Forest Area, and Tori Brown had a career-high 12 points to go with seven rebounds.

Aislynne Anderson had 16 points for Rocky Grove (5-7).

JAMESTOWN 46, YOUNGSVILLE 44

JAMESTOWN, Pa. – Jamestown knocked down six shots from the charity stripe in overtime to earn a 46-44 win over Youngsville.

Jamestown (4-5) trailed 35-28 going to the fourth quarter, but outscored Youngsville (4-9) 10-3 in the fourth quarter to force overtime.

Ivy Riley knocked down a big 3 in the fourth quarter for Jamestown to help force overtime.

Makayla Williams had 16 points and Alayna Cadman had 14 for Jamestown.

Riley Robinault had 23 points for Youngsville Helman and Molly Helman added nine.
