Fatal Crash in Glade Township Leaves One Dead

WARREN, Pa. – A Saturday evening crash on Scandia Road in Glade Township took the life of a Warren man.

Per a Warren-based Pennsylvania State Police report, the one-vehicle accident occurred at approximately 6:35 p.m. Adam C. English, 35, of Warren was operating a silver 2011 Ford Taurus southbound on Scandia Road at a high rate speed, just south of Hatch Run Road.

Police state that English lost control of the vehicle over the crest of a hill. According to the report, tire marks in the road indicated the vehicle crossed the double yellow line into the northbound lane of travel and began to slide sideways back into the southbound lane of travel.

Police state that the vehicle then went airborne, struck a mailbox and a tree before coming to its final rest. English was pronounced deceased at the scene.

A passenger, Stevie L. English, 28, of Warren was transported via helicopter to Hamot Medical Center in Erie. Police say that neither occupant was wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash.

EmergyCare, Warren City Ambulance, Warren City Fire Department, Glade Volunteer Fire Department, Stat MedEvac, Warren City Police Department, Coroner Melissa Zydonik, Kobeley’s Collision and Corry-based Pennsylvania State Police all assisted at the scene.
