Eisenhower, Youngsville Softball Fall

CAMBRIDGE SPRINGS, Pa. – Kylee Miller hit a 3-run homer to end the game as Cambridge Springs beat Eisenhower, 12-0 in six innings.

Miller finished with four RBIs, while Hailee Rodgers doubled and drove in a pair of runs for the Blue Devils. Emily Boylan also had three hits and scored a run.

Rodgers tossed five innings to get the win, allowing just two hits while striking out eight.

Emilie Jones took the loss, allowing six earned runs on 14 hits while striking out five.

COCHRANTON 14, YOUNGSVILLE 4, 5 innings

COCHRANTON, Pa. – Dani Hoffman nearly hit for the cycle with two doubles, a triple, and an inside-the-park home run in Cochranton’s 14-4 win over Youngsville.

Hoffman scored three runs as Cochranton broke the game open with an 8-run third inning.

Also for the Cardinals, Chelsey Freyermuth homered as part of a 2-for-4, 3-RBI effort, while Kim Ewing, Macie Williams, and Keirstynn Miller drove in two runs each.

Ewing got the win, allowing two earned runs in her five innings on five hits and one walk while striking out four.

Youngsville actually scored three times in the top of the first to take an early 3-0 lead, courtesy of a Mollly Helman RBI single and a 2-run double off the bat of Rachael Lucks. Ireland Abraham also had a double and scored two runs for the Eagles.

Kam Swearingen took the loss, allowing six earned runs in four innings on 12 hits while striking out a pair.
