Eagles Impressive in Season-Opening Win Over County Rival Eisenhower

RUSSELL, Pa. – Nate Lucks tossed 6 ⅓ dominant innings to lift Youngsville to a 6-2 win over Eisenhower in the season-opener for both teams.

Lucks allowed one run on six hits, striking out five without issuing a walk.

Offensively, the Eagles struck for two runs in both the first and second innings. In the first inning, Wyatt Dalrymple notched an RBI single, with an error allowing another run to cross the plate.

In the second inning, James Johnson had an RBI single and an error allowed another run to cross the plate. The Eagles took advantage of seven Ike errors en route to the win.

Youngsville extended its lead to 5-0 on an Ethan Senz bases-loaded walk in the top of the fifth.

For Eisenhower, Cole Chapman took the loss, allowing four unearned runs in three innings, allowing three hits and striking out five without issuing a walk.

Brok English went 2-for-3 at the plate for Eisenhower, while Shawn Pascuzzi had an RBI single in the sixth inning.
