Dragons Use Big Sixth Inning to Beat Corry

COLUMBUS, Pa. – Warren broke open a 1-1 tie with a 5-run sixth inning to beat Corry, 6-3.

Ben Berdine went 6 ⅓ innings, allowing three runs on six hits, striking out nine.

Dylan Maeder got things going in the sixth with an RBI double for the Dragons. Micah Passmore followed with a ground ball to short that wasn’t fielded cleanly, allowing two more runs to cross the plate. The same thing happened in J.T. Blum’s at-bat, making it 6-1.

Berdine had a pair of hits and scored a run for the Dragons, while James Swanson was 2-for-3 and Owen Blum also drove in a run with an RBI single in the third.

Nathan Lesher took the loss for Corry, allowing four runs (three earned) in five innings, allowing seven hits, and striking out five.

Lesher was also 3-for-4 at the plate with a triple and two RBIs for the Beavers.
