Dragons Comeback Falls Short Against Corry

WARREN, Pa. – Jon Albers’ solo home run began a 5-run seventh inning to help Corry pull away for a 9-5 win over Warren.

Corry led 4-1 going into the seventh, taking a 9-1 lead and holding off a Warren rally in the bottom of the innings to preserve the win.

Albers finished 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs, and two runs for the Beavers, while Karson Chamberlain was 1-for-3 with a double and two RBIs and Micah Murphy was 2-for-3 with an RBI and a run.

Albers also got the win, going 5 ⅓ innings and allowing one run on five hits, striking out nine, and walking two.

For Warren, Konnor Hoffman was 2-for-3 with two doubles, two RBIs, and a run, while Ben Sowa was 2-for-4 with a double and two RBIs and Gio Elinsky was 2-for-3 with two runs.

Carson Farr took the loss, allowing four runs (three earned) on four hits in 3 ⅔ innings, walking four, and striking out four.
