Diamond Anniversary: Preparations Already Underway for 75th Warren Fourth of July Celebration

February 7, 2023

WARREN, Pa. – The calendar may say February, but preparations are already underway for the Warren Fourth of July celebration.

This year will be the 75th edition of the parade, and the diamond edition promises to be a special one.

“The parade theme this year is 75 years and going strong,” said Fourth of July Organization Chairman Bill Thompson. “

The headliners of the celebration will be the parade at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 4th, with fireworks that night at 10 p.m. at Betts Park.

Of course, there will be much more going on as well.

“As far as the food truck event, I would say it’s more of a vendor event,” Thompson said. “We’re going to start things on Saturday (July 1) and go through Tuesday, all at Betts Park.

Blue Morning will be performing on July 4th, with Thompson in talks for several other bands over the course of the celebration.

“We’re going to have music at Betts Park Saturday night through Tuesday night,” Thompson said. “We’ll have several different bands.”

Warren’s Got Talent, as well as the Fireman’s Battle, will once again take center stage during the 2023 celebration as well.

“That was a big hit,” Thompson said of Warren’s Got Talent. “We’re also planning on reaching out to more fire departments, including some from New York state.”

To register for the parade, go to warrenpajuly4th.com and click on parade.

“We’re looking into some possibilities,” Thompson said about anything potentially new for the diamond celebration. “We’ve hit a few dead ends, but we’re still looking.”
