Dalrymple Crowned 2022 Warren County Fair Queen

August 9, 2022

PITTSFIELD, Pa. – Cassie Dalrymple is officially Warren County Fair royalty.

Dalrymple became Warren County Fair Queen 2022 after the results of Monday evening’s program, with Veronica Ludwick named Warren County Fair 1st Runner-Up and Lexi Stec 2022 Warren County Fair Junior Miss.

Dalrymple received the crown from the 2021 Queen and her best friend, Katie Downs.

“It was amazing like I didn’t believe that it was real,” Dalrymple said when she heard her name called. “It’s been wonderful, scary, and nerve-wracking. My best friend was the current queen so she got to go through it and help me, so that was wonderful.”

The contestants went through a series of performances, including a choreographed dance with all the other contestants, performing a talent of their choosing, an impromptu question and answer, an interview, and a written essay.

Dalrymple chose to sing for her talent, with Downs accompanying her on the guitar.

“Getting ready for the talent might have been the most nerve-wracking part,” Dalrymple said. “The interview and the impromptu question, too.”

Dalrymple said she is looking forward to all that comes with being the fair queen, where she will be joined by the runner-up Ludwick and Junior Miss Stec.

Madison Sleeman was the runner-up in 2021 and Raychel Eastman the Junior Miss.

“The most fun was the dance with all the other contestants,” Dalrymple said. “I’m looking forward to participating in the fair activities with the kids.”

Not only will she get to do that, but she, along with Ludwick and Stec, will get to travel to other fairs and parades in the state throughout the next year.

“Enjoy each and every new experience and help out wherever you can,” Downs advised. “And don’t be afraid to ask questions. You’ll also be privileged to get the inside scoop on our fair and all that goes on behind the scenes in preparation. Attend as many events as you possibly can. You’ll make some fascinating new friends.”

And she left Dalrymple and the other with one final piece of advice.

“Always have a smile and be yourself,” Downs said. “May you have as much fun as I did.”
