County Approves Agreement With ANF for Patrols; Engineering Services Awarded for Center St. Project in Clarendon

April 12, 2023

WARREN, Pa. – The Warren County Commissioners approved an agreement with the Allegheny National Forest to have the Sheriff’s office do patrols at the park.

“It’s a modification and it’s going to add $5,750 for the contract for the period of April 15, 2023, until the end of the year on Dec. 31,” noted Commissioner Tricia Durbin.

Fellow Commissioner Ben Kafferlin said it was beneficial for the Sheriff’s Office.

“It’s standard and it works well because we have the resources,” Kafferlin said. “It gives our guys an opportunity to learn more.”

“We have two bids that were presented at the Clarendon Borough Council meeting in March,” said County Grants Administrator Danielle Flasher. “We worked with them quite a bit, and they liked the fact that A C is local to them from the Sheffield area and are excited to give them an opportunity.”

The bid was for $14,696.

The project, which is being done using Community Development Block Grant funds is being done in tandem with improvements made to the stormwater system on the street.
