LINESVILLE, Pa. – Conneaut needed extra points in the final set to come away with a 5-set win over visiting Warren Thursday.
The Eagles took a 2-1 lead into the fourth set, but the Dragons earned a 31-29 win to force the decisive fifth set. In that set, it was Conneaut that got the extra point win to pick up the 3-2 (25-23, 19-25, 25-22, 29-31, 16-14) match victory.
Katie Madigan had another huge game for the Dragons with 30 kills, 27 digs and three aces. Kylie Fehlman had 10 kills and four blocks, while Ellee Irwin had eight kills and three aces.
Carly Beers and Alexia Bowers each finished with six kills. Beers had nine digs and Bowers three blocks. Summer Lucks had 19 digs.
Halee Mineweaser had seven kills and ran the offense with 37 assists, while Lindsay Madigan had nine assists.
Conneaut won the JV match 25-19 and 25-17
Gabby Pritzl had three kills and Alyssa Farr had three digs and two assists.
