Sheffield Falls in Four at Brockway

September 30, 2021

BROCKWAY, Pa. – Offensive errors proved too much to overcome as Sheffield volleyball dropped a 3-1 (23-25, 22-25, 25-20, and 20-25) decision at Brockway Thursday.

“We had too many attack errors tonight,” Sheffield coach Melissa Lemay said. “We need to be aggressive, and I want them to swing, but we need to fix the mistakes that continue to be made with body position and arm swing.”

Kassidy Orinko led the Wolverines with 13 kills, 26 digs and three blocks. Emily Foster had 11 kills and Lexi Goldthwaite had five kills and 10 digs.

Kadence Steffan had 14 digs and ran the offense with 31 assists.

“We had much improved serve receive tonight, so we are moving in the right direction there,” Lemay said.

The Wolverines will play their third match in three days when they host Kane Friday.

Sheffield won the JV match 27-25 and 25-19.
