Jobs are available at Allegheny National Forest and many public land sites throughout the state. The PAOC offers youth, ages 15 to 18, paid, hands-on work experience completing duties related to the conservation of natural resources and infrastructure.

There are two crews for the Allegheny National Forest, one based out of Bradford and one out of Ridgway. Employment is expected to begin July 1 through August 9, 2024, following a Monday through Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., work schedule.

Participants can expect to work alongside a team of peers and conservation professionals, refining their environmental awareness, technical skills, social responsibility, and leadership skills.

The PAOC is administered by the Student Conservation Association in direct cooperation with the Pennsylvania Department of Conservation and Natural Resources. Since its establishment in 2016, the PAOC has completed hundreds of projects in over 100 Pennsylvania parks and forests.
