SUGARCREEK BOROUGH, Pa. – Emily Rice homered and drove in three runs to help Rocky Grove to a 17-3, 5-inning win over Youngsville.
A nine-run third inning helped Rocky Grove to break the game open.
Paige Cresswell also doubled and drove in a pair of runs for the Orioles, while Raleynn Montgomery had a pair of hits, including a double, two RBIs and scored three runs.
Creswell got the win, while Kam Swearingen took the loss.
Molly Helman had a pair of hits for Youngsville, while Alissa Gentz had a double.
“We didn’t do too bad hitting, but we left 13 on base and you can’t win if you don’t get those runs home,” said Youngsville coach Scott Ishman. “We had errors that led to some of there runs and that hurts, especially when we leave runners on.”
