William S. Carter, 81, of Bradford, PA, died on Thursday, June 24, 2021, in Bradford, following a recent illness. Bill was born September 4, 1939, at home in Hawkins Hollow, Bradford, the son of the late Dewey B. and Kathlyn I. Peterson Carter.

Bill grew up in Bradford and attended school there, where he also attended the First Baptist Church of Bradford. He was employed with PDM and later with the Warren County Rouse Home, from which he retired.

He enjoyed gardening, fishing, Country, and Bluegrass music, and he especially loved his family and friends.

William is survived by a daughter, Debbie Tyler; a grandson, Austin Towers; four sisters, Eva Parrish of Port Alleghany, PA, Kathlyn Carter Hoyt of Bradford, PA, Beverly Mohney of Canton, Georgia, and Linda Carter of Russell, PA; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Colvin Carter; a sister, Patty Carter; and four brothers, Richard, Donald, Robert, and Thomas Carter.

Friends and family will gather at the Peterson-Blick Funeral Home Inc., 1003 Penna. Ave. East, Warren, PA, on Monday, June 28, from 11 am until 12 noon, at which time a funeral service will be held there at noon, with Rev. Dorothy Hilliard, pastor, Faith Fellowship Church of God, Warren, officiating. Burial will be in the Warren County memorial Park.
