WARREN, Pa. – While the Trash Pandas have firm control over the Junior Varsity standings through four weeks, there are three teams vying for the top spot in the Warren County Youth Football League Varsity race.
The Twisters, Orange Carrots and Post Squirrels all have two wins after four weeks of play, while the Green Hawks are only a game back.
Here’s a look at Sunday’s Week 4 action:
POST SQUIRRELS 12, GREEN HAWKS 6
Collin Havers returned an interception more than 50 yards for a touchdown to help the Post Squirrels beat the Green Hawks, 12-6.
Jacob Stuart scored an offensive TD in the win.
Grant May had the lone touchdown for the Green Hawks.
ORANGE CARROTS 6, TWISTERS 2
Parker Kiser’s touchdown was the difference as the Orange Carrots topped the Twisters, 6-2.
Tanner Stuart recorded a safety for the Twisters.
TRASH PANDAS 28, BLUE DEVILS 0
The Trash Pandas rolled their winning streak to four games with a 28-0 win over the Blue Devils.
Ty Bryan and Benny Matson each had a pair of touchdowns, while Logan Beedle and Owen Damcott tacked on 2-point conversions.
MUD VIPERS 30, GREEN DESTROYERS 6
Blake Peterson had three touchdowns to lead the Mud Vipers to a 30-6 victory over the Green Destroyers.
Brody Connolly also had a TD in the win, while Chase Raub had a pair of 2-point conversions and Cameron Lindell added another.
Jarret Lang scored for the Green Destroyers.
