Warren volleyball drops opener to Meadville

WARREN, Pa. – Thursday marked the beginning of a new season for Warren volleyball, but it wasn’t quite the start they were hoping to get off to.

After dropping the first set 25-13, the Dragons rallied to win the second, 25-21, before Meadville rattled off 25-22 and 25-21 wins in the third and fourth to win 3-1.

Olivia English had 12 kills, Hannah Shattuck eight and Carly Beers and Jordan Sitler seven each. Freshman Kyleigh Fehlman added two blocks and Katie Madigan 26 digs for the Dragons.

Ella Stewart had 11 kills and 10 digs for the Bulldogs, who moved to 2-0 on the young season, while Jillian Decker had 22 assists and Kendall Sandrock 10 digs and 5 kills.
