Warren Tire Center Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Warren County

February 17, 2022

STATE COLLEGE, Pa. – The National Weather Service in State College has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Warren County beginning at 11 p.m. Thursday.

The advisory runs until 9 a.m. Friday. Mixed precipitation is expected, with up to an inch of snow accumulation and ice accumulations of “a light glaze.”

“Temperatures falling rapidly through the 20s and into the upper teens overnight will lead to freezing of standing water and the initially slushy, light accumulation of sleet and snow,” the advisory said.

The Winter Weather Advisory will expire before the current Flood Watch in effect for the area.

“The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission remind motorists to adjust speeds based on driving conditions as winter weather impacts Pennsylvania roadways,” the advisory said.

PennDOT also advised motorists to avoid any unnecessary travel during the storm.
