January 8, 2024

WARREN, Pa. – The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Warren and Forest Counties for Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2024.

The advisory runs from 1 a.m. to 7 p.m. for Forest County, and from 10 a.m. to Midnight for Warren County. Steady southeast winds from 20 to 30 mph, with gusts as high as 50 mph are expected.

“Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects,” the NWS said. “Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result.”

The strongest winds are expected to pick up as snow and mixed precipitation move into the area from the south and will continue as the mixed precipitation transitions to rain.

“Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle (and) secure outdoor objects,” the advisory said.
