Warren Sweeps Eisenhower in Track and Field

WARREN, Pa. – Warren swept Eisenhower in track and field action on Tuesday, with the boys winning 100-49 and the girls by a 123-26 count.

For the girls, Lindsay Madigan won the 100 and long jump, and triple jump while Shyann Rulander, Morgan Alexander, and Hannah Pierson finished 1-2-3 in both the 1600 and 3200. In addition, Lilly Newton won the 400 and high jump, Alexander the 800, and Warren also won all three relays.

For Eisenhower on the girls’ side, Mackenzie Dunn won the shot put and discus and Logan Grove took first in the javelin, as did Marissa Gourley in the 100 hurdles.

On the boys’ side, Warren’s Ethan Best won the 110 hurdles, 300 hurdles, and 200, while Parker Shene won the 100 and triple and Sam Lindell the 1600 and 3200.

For Eisenhower, Mikael Beaver won the javelin and pole vault, Joe Mistretta the 400, Benji Bauer the shot put, Bryceton Wilkins the high jump, and Caleb Penley the discus. Eisenhower also won the 400 relay.

“We were glad to move the meet to a little better weather today,” said Warren coach Kevin Dustin. “We were able to move some kids around to do different events to score points in areas that they may normally not. The kids were eager to jump in wherever they could, which is really nice to have. We were glad to come away with the wins on both sides and look forward to going to the SRU Invite this weekend.”
