Warren Players Announce Cast of RENT

March 22, 2022

WARREN, Pa. – Warren Players is excited to be back with the third show of their 91st season — RENT — April 28 through May 1 at the Struthers Library Theatre.

In 1996, an original rock musical by a little-known composer opened on Broadway and forever changed the landscape of American theatre. Two decades later, Jonathan Larson’s RENT continues to speak to audiences across generations and all over the world.

Director Jen Bailey, Assistant Director Corey Bailey and Vocal Director Kevin Hunt are thrilled to announce the cast of RENT, featuring Warren Players veterans and several performers who are new to the Struthers Library Theatre stage:

Angela Abreu, Kelsey Angove, Amanda Beil, Hillary Belin, Colette Bonavita, Chelsea Burkett, Brionna Childs, Derek DeVlieger, Dannielle Fickenworth, Caleb Foley, Michael Giambelluca, Holland Isaacson, Claire Johnson, Cynthia Klenowski, Titus Miller, Dave Oberg, Adam Owens, Christine Porter, Matthew Scott, Michael Stenberg, Emily Strong and Andrew Stalder.

Set in the East Village of New York City, RENT is about falling in love, finding your voice and living for today. Winner of the Tony Award for Best Musical and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, RENT has become a pop-cultural phenomenon with songs that rock and a story that resonates with audiences of all ages.

A re-imagining of Puccini’s La Bohème, RENT follows an unforgettable year in the lives of seven artists struggling to follow their dreams without selling out. With its inspiring message of joy and hope in the face of fear, this timeless celebration of friendship and creativity reminds us to measure our lives with the only thing that truly matters—love.

RENT performances are at 7 p.m. Thursday, April 28, Friday, April 29 and Saturday, April 30, and 2 p.m. Sunday, May 1 at Struthers Library Theatre. RENT is Rated R for mature thematic material involving drugs and sexuality, and for some strong language. This performance may not be appropriate for all audiences.

Reserve your seats online at www.strutherslibrarytheatre.org or by calling the theatre at (814) 723-7231. Tickets are $17 for adults and $15 for seniors and students, which includes a processing fee.
