WARREN, Pa. – The Warren Area High School cross country teams were bested by Corry on Tuesday, with the girls dropping a close 26-29 decision.
Warren’s Morgan Alexander finished second in the girls’ race, while teammate Hannah Pearson was fourth (20:55), Cassidy Britton sixth (22:05), Emma Peterson seventh (22:34) and Loralei Johnson 10th (24:45).
For the boys, Cam Williams was fourth in 18:18, followed by Emre Morgan in seventh (19:31), Gavin Heeter 10th (20:13), Chris Joblon 11th (20:16) and Mike Bojkaczko 14th (20:58).
“We knew on the girls’ side it would be a close one and they just put together a stronger race,” said Warren coach Kevin Dustin. “We had some big personal bests for people and showed the team is moving in the right direction. We have a lot of meets to go yet and are watching for that steady progression.”
