Warren County Visitors Bureau Event Planning Party Returning

March 17, 2022

WARREN, Pa. – After two years of COVID restrictions, events have started to get back to normal, and the Warren County Visitors Bureau is celebrating that.

After a two-year hiatus, the WCVB Event Planning Party is back, slated for April 6 at 6 p.m. at the Hampton Inn.

The party will include 18 different events and event organizers, events such as the Johnny Appleseed Festival, Warren County Pride Day, Winterfest, and others.

“The premise of the party is to have each event representative get three minutes to explain the who, what, where, when and why of the event,” said WCVB Executive Director Dave Sherman. “We can’t go up to each event and say hey, we’re here to help. What we can do is leverage our funds to have you do it for us.”

Sherman explained that there are two hooks – that the advertising has to touch more than 50 miles beyond Warren and that you pay for the advertising in advance.

“We’re going to give each event $1,000,” Sherman said. “They pay for it, it has to be more than 50 miles out, and we’ll gladly reimburse.”

The reason for the 50-mile rule is simple.

“We want people coming in from outside the county,” Sherman said.

There will also be a drawing, with one event receiving a free commercial from the WCVB videographer to put together for their event.

“We’re excited to get people here again,” Sherman said.
