WARREN, Pa. – Two people were injured in a 2-car accident near the entrance to the Warren Commons on Monday evening.
Emergency services were called to the scene at 7:37 p.m. Monday, according to the Pulse Point app and North Warren Volunteer Fire Department. Along with North Warren, Starbrick and EmergyCare were initially dispatched to 2725 Market Street. One of the vehicles came to rest on its side.
“EmergyCare arrived on the scene and determined one patient was still in a vehicle and needed extricated,” North Warren VFD said in a Facebook post.
As North Warren and Starbrick crews worked to extricate the trapped victim, Russell VFD was called to assist in landing a medical helicopter.
Once freed from the vehicle, the victim was air lifted to a hospital for treatment. Another person was taken by EmergyCare to Warren General Hospital.
The extent of the injuries was unknown at press time.
