Three Warren County Roads, One in Forest County Closed; Vehicle Restrictions Lifted on I-86 and I-90

WARREN, Pa. – Three Warren County roads and another in Forest County are closed due to downed trees and power lines as of 10 p.m. on Jan. 9, 2024, according to PennDOT.

Cable Hollow Road from Main Street to Reynolds Run Road and Scandia Road from Cable Hollow Road to Webbs Ferry Recreation Area Road in Elk Township; along with Austin Hill Road from Route 666 in Sheffield Township to Sorenson Road in Cherry Grove Township are closed in Warren County.

In Forest County, River Road from Route 36 to Jacks Hollow Road in Barrett Township is closed.

Other closed roadways throughout the region include:

Crawford County

Route 86 – Root Avenue to Elizabeth Street in Cambridge Springs.
Route 408 – Lyona Road to Carpenter Road in Richmond Township.
Church Road (Route 3005) – Pecan Drive in South Shenango Township to Leach Road in North Shenango Township.

Erie County

Route 5 – Nagle Road in Lawrence Park to the New York state line in North East Township.

Mercer County

Beatty School Road (Route 4021) – Mozes Road to Greenville Road, Salem Township.
Wet Track Road (Route 3005) – Carpec Lane to Maple Grove Road in Shenango Township.

Venango County

Two Mile Run Road (Route 4001) – Martin Hill Road to Warren Road in Sugarcreek Borough.
Patchel Run Road (Route 4003) – Meadville Pike in Sugarcreek Borough to Route 427 in Jackson Township.

The closures will remain in place until the roadways are cleared.

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) has lifted the Tier 2 vehicle restrictions on Interstate 86 and Interstate 90 in Erie County. Drivers are reminded to continue to use caution as rain and snow remain in the forecast for the Northwest Region.
