WARREN, Pa. – After two years of limited ability to gather, the Warren County Chamber of Business and Industry is hosting a series of events to help bring communities together.

The WCCBI is hosting Community Days throughout the spring, summer, and fall to help rejuvenate the sense of community across Warren County.

“Coming out of the height of a pandemic, with certain restrictions lifted, these community days are a great way to get back together, safely, and rejuvenate the spirit of what the word “community” really is,” WCCBI’s Savannah Casey said. “It’s about bringing together the great people living in our area and creating a feeling of fellowship.”

The Community Day Series kicks off in Starbrick with the Starbrick Community Day on May 21. The event will run from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. This initial Community Day is co-sponsored by the Starbrick Volunteer Fire Department.

“Community Days is an initiative by the Warren County Chamber and key partnering organizations to provide family-friendly, fun, activities to the entire Warren County community,” Casey said.

Sheffield Community Days will be held on June 3 and 4. The movie night and family activities are sponsored by WCCBI and the Sheffield YMCA with popcorn sponsored by Sweet Sarah’s Kettle Korn. Additionally, the Sheffield VFD is sponsoring a Ladies Night Out.

For more information about the Sheffield garage sales, contact April Hayes at 814-779-1225.

Youngsville Community Days: CornFest is set for Aug. 26-28 and is a partnership between WCCBI, Youngsville Borough, Youngsville Heart & Soul, and the Revitalization of Youngsville.

“WCCBI is dedicated to serving our local business community,” Casey said. “Our goals are to provide economic and community excellence to our businesses and industries of Warren County, keep our Warren County citizens healthy and employed, and continue to share available resources and goods with one another. Community Days is a great way to share those resources and offer something for everyone.”

An Old Fashioned Hoedown is the theme for Sugar Grove Community Day on Sept. 10.

The Community Day Series concludes with the Downtown Warren Community Day: Sidewalk Sales on Oct. 14 and 15. Warren Antiques and Giftware is partnering with WCCBI for the final Community Day.

“WCCBI supports the constant growth and improvement of ourselves, each other, the local economy and our global environment,” Casey said. “We are excited to be back out in the community with a full slate of events all year round.”
