Snell Family Foundation Now Accepting Scholarship Applications

WARREN, Pa. – The window is now open for those students in the class of 2024 to apply for the Snell Family Foundation scholarship.

All graduating seniors in Warren County, including homeschooled students, who plan to attend an undergraduate college, university, trade, or vocational school are eligible to apply. Academic excellence is not the top priority, all are encouraged to apply. Scholarships will be awarded regardless of race, creed, color, sex, or religion.

“The Snell Family Foundation, Inc. was founded in the Spring of 2022 with a goal of bettering the Warren County community,” the Foundation said in a release. “We are proud to offer a number of scholarships to members of the graduating class of 2024.”

Scholarship applications, which are due by Friday, April 19, 2024, must include the following:
1. A minimum of one brief recommendation letter from a current teacher.

2. High School transcripts showing a 3-year cumulative grade point average.

3. A brief statement about your previous or current work experiences.

4. The college, university, trade, or vocational school you plan to attend.

5. State any challenges you have had to overcome.

6. Please choose and write about one of the following:
a. Talk about a personal accomplishment, unrelated to academics, that has significant meaning to you.
b. If you were given the power to change one thing in the world, what would it be and why?
c. Describe a fictional character you relate to and why.
