Scott Michael Pollock

Scott Michael Pollock, 55, of Sheffield, Pa., passed away on Friday, Aug. 27, 2021, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Scott was born Feb. 24, 1966, the son of the late Ronald Pollock and Joyce Verbosky Pollock of Sheffield, who survives.

Scott was a lifelong Sheffield resident and a 1984 graduate of the Sheffield High School. He has been employed at the Quality, now Tops Market in Kane, Pa., since he was in high school, retiring recently due to illness.

Scott enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping and cruising dirt roads. He loved to work in the woods cutting trees and getting firewood. He was always the guy to man the fire, and was often referred to as “King of the Fire” as he always had plenty of firewood. Scott also loved to play darts and shoot pool, he was in various leagues and was known to be very good at both. Scott’s favorite place to go was Watkins Glen where he would camp and watch NASCAR with his daughter, Samantha who was his pride and joy. Scott was a member of the Sheffield Vets, the Clarendon Vets, and the Sheffield Rod and Gun Club.

He is survived by mother, Joyce of Sheffield; his daughter, Samantha Pollock (mother, Lori Maines) and her boyfriend, Taran Hansen; two brothers: Tracy Pollock and his wife, Barb of Warren, and Christopher Pollock of Cherry Grove; and three nieces: Olivia Nystrom, Sabrina Pollock, and Devyn Pollock.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his first wife, Susan Littlefield; and two infant children: Brittany Ann Pollock, and Scott Michael Pollock Jr.

A celebration of Scott’s life is being planned and will be announced soon.
