Robert M. Conklin

December 8, 2020

Robert M. Conklin, 68, of Warren, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday, December 3, 2020, following a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Bob was employed at the Warren State Hospital as a Psychiatric Security Aide for more than thirty years, from which he retired. He and his family were active members of the First Church of the Nazarene, where he served on many boards, and volunteered countless hours at the church doing custodial and maintenance work.

Bob loved his family more than anything, and was a passionate hunter, and outdoorsman. Bob will be forever remembered by many for his faith, sense of humor, and love of life.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Huck Conklin, whom he married on June 8, 1974 at the First Church of the Nazarene in Warren; a daughter, Maria Miller and her husband Greg, of Warren; a son, Michael Conklin and his wife Daleanna, of Warren; nine grandchildren; Tyler, Logan, and Landon Nelson, Hallie Miller, Izaya, Dehklund, and Jace Conklin, Kaylinn and Emma Whiteman, and one grandchild on the way; a brother, Ron Conklin and his wife Nancy, of Millerton, PA; a sister, Diane Fife and her husband Mark, of Elmira NY; brothers-in-law, Randy Huck and wife Nadean, and Bob Huck and wife Ruth; his mother-law, Elizabeth Huck; and many nieces and nephews; and friends.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant child. Friends will be received at the First Church of the Nazarene on Monday, December 7, from 6 to 8 pm, and for one-hour prior to the funeral service to be held there at 11am on Tuesday, December 8, with Rev. J. Maier, pastor, officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to the First Church of the Nazarene Building and Maintenance Fund.
