WARREN, Pa. – The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation announced that work on a $1.2 million roadway safety improvement project will resume next week along Route 6 in Mead Township, Warren County.
The project began in August 2022 with milling and paving of 0.6 miles of roadway on Route 6 from the Gabion Retaining Wall to Warren/Kinzua Road (Route 59). Additional work included the installation of ADA ramps and updated guide rail, drainage, and pavement markings.
Beginning Monday, May 8, 2023, work will continue with the installation of new traffic signals and lighting, followed by minor roadway work including shoulder backup and base repairs.
Motorists may encounter lane restrictions with traffic controlled by flaggers.
The contractor is IA Construction Corporation of Franklin, PA. The contract cost is $1,203,222.22, which is to be paid for entirely with federal funds.
