Andy CloseRichard Barnes, 87, of Youngsville, passed away Wednesday, July 28, 2021, in Corry.
He was born in West Hickory to the late Glenn and Margaret (Downing) Barnes. Richard worked for the Warren Co. School District for 25 years, retiring from there. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, son-in-law, brother-in-law and uncle. He will be sadly missed by all and so very loved.
Richard is survived by his wife Tammy Graham Barnes whom he married on May 15,1999 , a son: Richard (Ann) Barnes Jr., a daughter: Amy (Dennis) Gibson, a brother: Charles (Judy) Barnes, 3 grandchildren: Justin (Andrea) Barnes, Ryan Morgan and companion Brandie Fill and Nakia Edwards, a great-grandson Preston Gibson, a great-granddaughter Delilah Barnes his mother-in-law: Susan Mack and companion Larry Dunlap, sisters-in-law: Dawn Graham and companion Doug Hesse, Toni (Laurie) Graham, a brother-in-law John (Jody) Losey, 2 very close nieces: Brittany (Dylan) Foely and Briona Miller and companion Matt Schutt. 3 great nieces: Adalynn and Aaliyah Foley and Payton Keys, 2 great-nephews: Grayson Miller and Kanon Schutt.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by 4 brothers: Glenn Barens Jr., William Barnes, Robert Barnes, and Thomas Barnes and 5 sisters: Mary Pyle, Lila Mae Anthony, Arlene Black, Pear Webster, and Ruth Womeldorf.
A memorial service will be held at a later date.
The family suggests memorial donations may be made to Aseracare Hospice of Erie, Spring Creek Cemetery, or the Garland Vol. Fire Dept.
