WARREN, Pa. – A potential caregivers strike at Warren General Hospital has been averted after the hospital and union reached a tentative contract agreement Monday, according to multiple reports.
The WGH Professional Employees Association, led by the Pennsylvania Association of Staff Nurses & Allied Professionals, submitted a 10-day strike notice on Saturday after months of negotiations failed to result in a new contract.
Details of the new contract were not available.
According to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette, union members are scheduled to vote on the new contract Wednesday.
