Olive Joins WCSO as School Resource Dog

July 6, 2022

WARREN, Pa. – The Warren County Sheriff’s Office welcomed a new member to its school resource team on Tuesday.

Olive, a 4-year-old Labrador Retriever, was brought to the WCSO as part of a joint effort between the White Cane Foundation, Snell Foundation, and Lions Gate Wealth Management.

School Resource Officer Deputy Josh Warmath will be Olive’s handler. Since she was originally trained as a guide dog, Olive’s role will be akin to that of a therapy dog for students.

The White Cane Foundation helped procure Olive for the WCSO, while the Snell Foundation and Lions Gate Wealth Management provided the funding.
