Andy CloseMatthew Alan Sidon, 43, of Warren, passed away on Dec. 27, 2021, at the Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, N.Y.
Matt was born in Warren on April 25, 1978, the son of John and Bonnie Sidon.
Matt was a 1996 graduate of Warren Area High School. He worked at Jones Chevrolet for many years and was a very talented mechanic. Matt enjoyed camping, four-wheeling, dirt track racing, and helping with the entertainment committee at the Warren County Fair. He was a member of the American Legion Post 135 and the Eagles Club. Matt loved his family, especially his children.
In addition to his parents, Matt is survived by his wife, Jill Sidon; two children; Austin and Owen both at home; two sisters: Wendy Haight (Burt) of Irvine, Pa., and Jodi Sidon (Shawn Wilson) of Warren; his paternal grandmother, Priscilla Sidon of Warren; four nephews; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Ronald and Marcella Dalrymple; paternal grandfather, Robert Sidon.
Friends will be received at the Peterson – Blick Funeral Home, Inc. 1003 Penna Ave E. Warren, on Monday, Jan. 3, 2021, from 10 a.m. to noon, at which time a funeral service will be held with the Rev. Dorothy Hilliard, pastor, officiating.
Burial will be in the Westview Cemetery.
