Mary Weaver Millard, 94, of Warren, PA, died peacefully Wednesday, December 23, 2020, at The Rouse Home, Youngsville, PA, after an extended illness.
Mary was born September 18, 1926 in Kane, PA, and was the daughter of the late Charles B. and Mabel Brown Weaver. She was a Warren area resident since 1958, moving from Kane, PA. Mary was a 1944 graduate of Kane High School. She had been employed with Whirley Drink Works for 27 years, retiring in December 1991, as a secretary, and with the former Penn Laurel Hotel for 5 years. She was a member of St. Joseph R.C. Church. Mary volunteered at Warren Manor Nursing Home where she would recite the rosary with patients.
She is survived by her son – David Millard of N. Warren, PA;
3 Sisters – June Fleeger of Warren, PA, Alice Harlin and husband, Darryl of Pittsfield, PA, and Arlene Fede and husband, Joe of Rochester, N.Y; 1 Brother – Richard Weaver and wife, Carolyn of Maryland, 4 Grandchildren – Chris Millard, Amy Millard Wilson (Damon), Tracy (Alicia) Griffith, Sean (Katie) Griffith; 4 Great Grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Loren Millard, whom she married on February 1, 1945 in Kane, PA; her daughter, Patricia Griffith; 2 Sisters – Shirley Howard and Betty Oesterling, and 1 Brother – Jim Weaver.
A Memorial Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at a later time and will be announced. Interment will be in St. Callistus R.C. Cemetery, Kane, PA. Those wishing to place memorials may do so through St. Joseph Church Educational Center Fund, 600 Pennsylvania Avenue West, Warren, PA, 16365.
